Place Fillets

The Fillet command is used to draw a fillet between two elements. The elements can be arcs, lines, circles, ellipses, or curves.

In this lesson, you will place a fillet in the upper- and lower-left corners of the parking lot drawing.

Click the Show Me   button on the SmartSketch Learning Center toolbar to view a demonstration of the tasks in this lesson.

1. On the Draw toolbar, click the Fillet button.

• The Fillet button places a fillet between two elements. You can specify a radius by typing a value in the Radius box or use an arbitrary radius based on your cursor position. You can click both elements individually or click a vertex.

2. Position the cursor in the upper-left corner of the layout.
3. When both lines highlight, click your mouse.
4. Move the cursor and click when you see an approximate radius of 5.00 meters display in the Radius field on the Fillet ribbon bar.

• The value in the Radius field on the ribbon bar changes dynamically as you move the mouse cursor.

5. Place another fillet with the same approximate radius on the lower-left corner of the layout.
