This lesson highlights SmartSketch's most commonly used tools and templates. When you select a specific template, tools are available that allow you to create either a precision drawing or schematic diagram.

Click the Show Me Show Me  button on the SmartSketch Learning Center toolbar to view a demonstration of  the tasks in this lesson.

  1. Look at the workspace.
  2. Each time you start SmartSketch, a new document is displayed. This document is based on the NORMAL.IGR template and has a drawing sheet. Templates are the starting point for creating a document. A template is a file that provides tools such as text, formats, geometry, dimensions, units of measurement, and styles that apply specified formats to elements in the drawing. The template that you use depends on the type of information you want to put in the document.

  1. On the Draw toolbar, click the Tangent Arc Tangent Arc button.

  1. On the Main toolbar, click the Dimension  Dimension></li>
