Each time you start SmartSketch, a new document is displayed. This document is based on the NORMAL.IGR template and has a drawing sheet. Templates are the starting point for creating a document. A template is a file that provides tools such as text, formats, geometry, dimensions, units of measurement, and styles that apply specified formats to elements in the drawing. The template that you use depends on the type of information you want to put in the document.
Tip
A small yellow label, called a ToolTip, displays the name of each command on a toolbar. The toolbar you will use most often is called the Draw toolbar and is located on the left side of the window.
Tip
Some command buttons display fly-outs when you click and hold the command button. These buttons have a small black arrow in the lower right corner. Fly-outs access commands that are closely associated with the button that you clicked.
Tip
The Change button on the Main toolbar accesses the Change toolbar. This toolbar has commands that you can use to manipulate and modify elements on your drawing.
