Configure the Chassis

In this lesson, you will drag a PowerHub Switch chassis from the Symbol Explorer onto the drawing sheet. Then you'll use the Symbol Explorer to configure the chassis.

Click the Show Me   button on the SmartSketch Learning Center toolbar to view a demonstration of the tasks discussed in this lesson.

1. In the Symbol Explorer, open the Switches folder. 
2. In the Switches folder, open the Power folder and locate the PowerHub 7000 FDDISwitch ALAN001l.sym symbol.
3. Drag the symbol onto the drawing sheet and drop it just to the left of the tower server.
4. Click the Zoom Area button on the Main toolbar, and drag a fence around the PowerHub switch.
5. In the Symbol Explorer, locate the PowerHub 7000 Fiber FDDI Concentrator Module ALAN009C.sym symbol.
6. Drag the symbol to the PowerHub Switch chassis and drop it into the second slot from the top when the key point appears on the left.

7. Drag the PowerHub 7000 4x4 Microsegment Ethernet Module ALAN005C.sym symbol from the Symbol Explorer and drop it into the PowerHub switch chassis below the Concentrator symbol.
8. Drag two PowerHub 7000 Power Supply ALAN021C.sym symbols from the Symbol Explorer and drop them into the top two rectangular slots in the chassis.
