A connector will connect to native graphic objects such as lines and circles as well as complex objects like symbols and groups. The command uses intelligent routing to maintain connections between objects and symbols.

In this tutorial, you will expand your organization chart to include another symbol. Then you'll use the Connector command to connect the two symbols.

Click the Show Me Show Me  button on the SmartSketch Learning Center toolbar for a complete demonstration of the tasks in this lesson.

  1. On the Schematic toolbar, click the Connector tool Connector.
  2. On the Ribbon bar, change the Line Width to .50mm and the Line Color to Red.
  3. Connect the top of the modem to the middle of the towers left side.
  4. Connect the left side of the second tower to the right side of the printer.
  5. Connect the top middle of the first tower to the top middle of the second tower.
  6. On the Ribbon bar, change the Line Width to .25mm and Line Color to Black
  7. Click the Line End Terminator drop down list and select the second Solid Arrow 1
  8. Place line terminators from the top arrows to the horizontal arrow.
  9. On the Main toolbar,  click the Fit Fit Button button.
  10. On the Main toolbar, click the Zoom Area Zoom Area Button button. 
  11. Click and drag from the upper left of the first arrow symbol to the lower right of the Order Fulfillment Server to define the zoom area.
  12. Click the right mouse button to reset.
Build the Network
