Place Multiple Copies of Symbols

In this lesson, you will place multiple copies of the Tower Server symbol and then modify the Description attribute for each.

Click the Show Me   button on the SmartSketch Learning Center toolbar for a complete demonstration of the tasks in this lesson.

1. On the Main toolbar, click the Zoom Area button. 
2. For the first point of the zoom area, click and drag from the upper left of the first arrow symbol to the lower right of the last arrow placed. Click the right mouse button to reset.
3. Using the horizontal scrollbar, scroll down until the arrows appear at the top of your drawing sheet.
4. In the Symbol Explorer, click the Servers folder.
5. Hold down the Ctrl key, click and drag the Tower Server with 17in monitor.sym and drop it in the lower left of your drawing sheet.

Note

• Holding down the Ctrl key while dragging a symbol onto the active document will allow you to place multiple copies of that symbol in your drawing sheet.

6. Place another copy of the Tower Server symbol in the lower right corner of the active document. Click the right mouse button to reset.
7. With the server still selected, change the Description attribute in the Attribute Viewer to Order Fulfillment Server, and then press the Enter key.
8. Select the first Tower symbol you placed and change its Description attribute to Web Sales Server, and then press the Enter key.
