Mirror Elements
Drawing elements can be mirrored and mirrored-copied by using a linear
element as a mirror axis. In this lesson, you will mirror the desk and chair you
placed previously so that a copy exists in the adjacent room of the office
layout.
Click the Show Me
button on the SmartSketch Learning Center toolbar to view a demonstration of
how to perform the tasks in this lesson.
- On the Main toolbar, click the Fit
button.
- On the Main toolbar, click the Zoom Area
button.
- Click once in the upper left corner of the drawing, then click in the
lower right corner of the drawing to define the zoom area.
- Select the lower right corner of the drawing.
- On the Draw toolbar, click the Select Tool
and drag a
fence around the desk and chair.
- On the Main toolbar, click the Change
button to display
the Change toolbar.
- On the Change toolbar, click the Mirror
button.
- On the Mirror ribbon bar, click the Copy
button.
- Click the midpoint of the bottom line (the outside wall). This is the
first point of the mirror line.
Notice that the mirrored element displays dynamically on the
other side of the outside wall.
- Click the midpoint of the top line (the outside wall).
This is the second point of the mirror line.
A mirrored copy of the desk and chair is placed in the other
office.
