The Rotate command rotates one or more elements a precise distance or angle about a specified point. When using the Rotate command you must define both the center of rotation and the point from which to rotate. 

In this lesson, you will use the Rotate command on the Change toolbar to rotate the rectangle you drew previously 45° from its current location.

  1. On the Draw toolbar, click the Select Tool Select Button and select the rectangle. 
  2. On the Main toolbar, click the Change Change Button button to display the Change toolbar.
  3. On the Change toolbar, click the Rotate Rotate Button button. 
  4. Click the center of the rectangle to define the center of rotation.
  5. Important

  6. Move the mouse cursor to the right and select the midpoint of the vertical element to define the other end of the reference axis.
  7. Note

  8. Rotate the rectangle approximately 45° from its current location.
  9. Tip

  10. On the Change toolbar, click the Move/Copy Move/Copy Button button.
  11. Click the midpoint of the line on the rectangle that faces the desk.
  12. Move the mouse cursor over each end point of the 45° line on the desk. When the alignment indicators from both ends of the line meet, click to complete the move.
