Using any one of many templates SmartSketch provides as a starting point for creating a document, you can be productive as soon as you open the box and install the software. Each SmartSketch template is set up to provide tools such as text, formats, geometry, dimensions, units of measurements, toolbars, and styles that are used to produce a new document that uses a specified format.
The template that you use depends on the type of information you want to put in the document. For example, you can use an electrical schematic template to create a drawing that contains a schematic of an electrical component. When you base a document on a particular template, that template automatically points to the symbols that you would most likely use for that type of document.
When you select a specific template, tools are available that allow you to create either a precision drawing or schematic diagram.
