Russian Solar Arrays

In order to ensure that adequate electrical power is available for all of the activities on the International Space Station, planners in both Russia and the United States have worked together to add these solar arrays to the station. The structure that these arrays connect to is being developed and built in Russia, while the solar arrays themselves are being built in the United States. They will be of the same make and type as those on the end of the US truss which are built by Rockwell's Rocketdyne Division. Together with the US Arrays, the Space Station will have up to 110 kilowatts of power available for experiments and operations when it is fully complete.
